Which are the best to use? - That won't get my account banned of course. ;)

Any that'll be helpful, in particular the fishing ones.

Also, any visual ones like with Oblivion? View distance etc?

Oh, and I'm a rogue if that matters.

Not that much point at the moment, majority of mods I was using are all incompatible with the latest patch. Only basic CT mod functions have been updated ( afaik )

Gatherer and Metamap.

Just found this page for the new version of Metamap and a lot of mods that'll work on the new 2.0.1 patch.

:EDIT: Yeah quite slow downloads on that site though :(

Make sure you get Titan, the bar for the top of your screen. There are so many plugins for it, it really is an essential mod. You can display pretty much anything on it.

Atlas is also handy for instancing. Maps of every instance in the game, plus some "unreleased" ones!

Equipcompare compares an item you hover over to the item currently equipped in it's slot. Brilliant for when loot drops and you need to quickly decide N or G.

If you fancy doing your own custom bars from scratch, try DAB (Discord Action Bars) - it takes a long time to set up, but is worth it.

I think i've covered everything, I use CTMod for the rest, like the party frames etc.

[Edit] You may need to wait for some of these to be updated for 2.0.1.

Titan is very good, though ive had a few problems with it in 2.0.1

The main one, is that the right hand side action bars arnt moved correctly, they end up overlappying the botton ones. Also the chat window is not moved correctly, however that can me unlocked and moved without any mods so thats ok.

Bit of a pain, i ended up downloading an action bar mod.

You should try :-
Energy Watch ( i think it is called, for Rogues).
Discord - I love this UI setup, as you can compltly customize it.Very great piece of work.

Gives you a bar that indicates when you will be regaining more energy. It is very helpful for long combos.

The best mods can be found over at www.wowace.com :)

Omni Cooldown Count
ClearFont (didn't like it at first, but once I got used to it I found it easier on the eyes)
Atlas and Enhanced Atlas
X-Perl Unit Frames
Improved Error Frames
Scrolling Combat Text
EquipCompair

I wouldn't think about playing WoW without the above. Theres more I used but they are the only ones i've found updated for the new patch so far :p

I'm proud of my tardiness tyvm! :D

Just wanted to add LaVendetta, the raid boss mod-type-thing, pretty essential IMO.

No mod is essential ;). I used CT for ages, but I did a clean install of the game recently and found that the only thing missing that I used in CT was boxes going red out of range, so now I'm sticking with the Blizzard UI. If I ever went back to raiding, then I'd get CT_RA, but it's unlikely as I don't enjoy it.

Bigwigs is better (imo) than ctra, more customisable...

I've added a few new ones to my setup: to name a few:
FuBar - + some plugins for it, bit like titanbar, but better...or is this the thing for moving bars around?
DeuceCommander - Not sure what this does :o but apparently I needed it
ClosetGnome - like itemrack but better
cyCircled - pretty circular bar icons, instead of ugly square ones
Prat - cool chat manager type thing... easier to see stuff
Mr Plow - great little tool for auto-organising bags/banks
GMail - mail mod, not actually used it yet, but supposedly a lot nicer than ct's massmail thing.

And some other stuff, but these ones are new to me, and are great:)
