Hi Guys,

Was just wondering what the best X-Fi card is for all round use. Thats gaming, music and the odd movie.

Also, the backs of the cards have a port for 'Digital Out' but it looks like a standard 3.5mm jack so there's no way to get an optical cable or S/PDIF cable in there to go to my AV amp. So that leaves me with the Champion Series and the Elite Pro. I've got no spare 5.25" bays (and wouldn't really want cabling going out of the front of my pc anyway :p). That just leaves the Elite Pro, and unless there's something extra special which the Elite Pro does better than the other cards, I'm not too keen on spending £200+ on a sound card (and additional box) unless someone convinces me otherwise :p

Edit: After re-reading the above I realise I've been a bit of a spanner. If anyone knows of a way to get S/PDIF or Optical out of the 3.5mm port on the cards then I'd really appreciate it :D

Thanks in advance,
Freakish_05 :)
