Pls excuse any typos = booze :P

Still waiting here,

But have access to rc1 coming up later today i hope. Internal Beta testers here at work. Hope its an even better experiance from 5487, which i was very impressed with. 5387 was pretty slow and poor.

For those of you who havent seen or used 5487 yet, its excellent have been using it as the os on my hp laptop for a couple of weeks now with no issues what so ever.

Can you give a bit more info on what was so much better from the widely available beta2 release (5384)
I have been using this almost everyday for 2 weeks now, and although it has sluggish moments and creative still havent sorted out their sound i think its pretty good. Recent demos like company of heroes and jtf work great. but as i said it can have its moments, although i have not yet had to button it

It was a bit hit and miss. Looks like it was a 'hit' with your pc. I installed it on a few. My laptop was abysmal. Crashed all the time. Conversely, a desktop of nearly half the spec was a joy to use day in, day out.

Future builds seem to have addressed this and other issues. Performance is in a different league, too. My laptop now runs very smoothly.

Thats good to hear, Im thinking of reversing my drives when RC1 is releases, putting vista on my raptor and doing a new install of XP on a 50gig test partition vista is currently on. This way i can still jump back to xp if required but vista should gain an extra boost by being on the raptor.

Also might try the 64-bit release of rc1, any experience with this?
