I'm thinking of switching from Plus.net to BE.

What's BE's service like?

How much do they charge for cancellation?

It's advertised as unlimited but I'm sure there's a gotcha in there somewhere. However I've never exceeded my 15GB allowance from plus. I shouldn't have any problems should I?

I'm with o2 ( much the same - same company) I'm on the lowest speed as my line will not take more £7.5 a month and £10 on a mobile card every 3 months (cheaper than paying £12 a month for internet alone) I have never downloaded more than 100GB in a month but I have no reason to believe that o2 is not unlimited I find its the best service tha I have experienced If ordering order via www.quidco.com for a nice bungback

call centers in the uk so no Indian / phippines call centers leaving one in need of a shrink at the end of the call!!

I will look into that, BE's offer finishes today and Plus's cancellations department is closed for Christmas so it looks like I'm going to miss the boat since I can't get a MAC key.

What sort of checks do they carry out the O2 mobile account. I actually have an O2 mobile but I don't pay the bill. The blokey in the O2 shop seemed to think I could still get O2 broadband at the discounted price.

to qualify for the discount on o2 broadband, the o2 mobile has to be either a contract or PAYG topped up £10 every 3 months. who it belongs to/pays the bill is completely irrelevant - you just need access to the text messages that are sent to it.

Thank you that's the answer I've been looking for. :)

EDIT: And it looks like I'm gonna get £25 through quidco as well.

BE are excellent for support and are extremely prompt replying to emails.

My service was flawless for 6 months and i then started to get constant disconnections so i left them last month.

99% ppl that are with BE will tell you the service is excellent and i dont see any other isps offering the deals they are at the moment.
