Better alternative to WMP?

Is there any way to import WMP music playlists into another media player? Or would I be better to sort out a few playlist folders with the .mp3s in them?

If you understand :s

I used to have a glitch on my system that meant MPC wouldn't work properly. So I used KMPlayer instead. The glitch is gone now, but I still use KMPlayer.

Another Winamp fanboy here.
Same. Can't wean myself off this and onto anything else for music.

Had ditched VLC for MPC but MPC is crap at selecting options I want in DVD menus. The selection arrow will be on the item I want but nothing I do makes MPC play that. VLC/WMP seem much better for that.

WMP is the best if you just want it too play music and video files imo. All you need is the right buttons. And WMP looks better than any of the other players.

I think itunes is a rank and bloated abomination. And WMP isn't much better.

For basic music playing functionality I like Foobar or Xion [I like Winamp too but it crashes constantly when I use modern skins on my Vista system].

I've been converted to mediamonkey for general use - it can do virtually anything you can imagine music-wise.

;)

Last time i tried to use Mediamonkey it didn't let you organise a collection spanning folders on several hard drives. Does it have that ability now?

just to clear things up on what i tried and found issues with

Winamp - Doesnt support Appleloss Less so no go for me.

Itunes64Bit - Massive memory Leak used 5.8GB of Ram Sounds bad even in there format

VLC - sounds great supports applelossless No global key support.

WMP - doesnt supprt ApplelossLess.

There is a hotkeys section in the preferences.
there is Hot Key support But NOT global key support.

if your playing a game Keys are deactivated.

this is been requested on the VLC Forum (as i looked it up) but not been implemented.

HOT key only works if the app is activate
