US: Better Call Saul

Second episode was pretty awesome!
So Tuco was deranged from the get-go then lol, broken legs would not be fun!
How many episodes are there? It'll be interesting to see if this season just revolves around this one plot piece they've created or if it goes further. I'd be happy with either scenario I think.

10 episodes for season 1.

Strangely there's 2 episodes for season 2 already!

Really enjoyed that. Started off slow, but soon picked up and I can see a great story developing.

Fair to say that Mike took a drastic career change :D

Haha definitely!!

Definitely shows life after Heisenberg in my eyes.

Isnt this life before Heisenberg considering the below spoiler tag:
Mike is in it as well as Tuco Salamanca - they both died during breaking bad

They renewed it for a 13 episode second season while they were still making the first back in June. Probably a combination of it likely ending up a success and using that piece of news to offset rumours that they didn't have confidence in it when they delayed the first season till 2015 instead of 2014.

I realise that, but watch the black and white segment at the start of the first episode. We're saying that it's set after Heisenberg.

Ahhh, thanks. Good news as i'm enjoying it a lot atm.

The black and white bit at the start definitely points towards a story after Heisenberg but considering what I mentioned above I just don't get it but I have explained a theory below in spoilers lol

Unless you mean the black and white bit at the start of Episode 1 is what happened after Heisenberg - and then when it starts the episode properly after the end of the b&w bit when Saul sees his old advert on the TV, this is the start of the story, from start to finish of how Saul got started right up to ending up working in a Cinnabon after Heisenberg?? That would make sense as to why Mike and Tuco are in it already

Brilliant second episode, picked the pace up nicely. Setting up for a great show. One question.

Why does that Chuck character dress himself like an oven ready turkey if someone brings a mobile phone into the house?

Chuck has a mysterious disease with very strange requirements. He lives in filthy, electricity free conditions. He won’t even use refrigeration, preferring a cooler of iced bacon that Saul describes as “trichinosis stew.” Guests to the house have to lock up all of their electronics in the mailbox and “ground” themselves by touching a piece of metal at the doorway to discharge any static build-up. Chuck and Saul have a rambling conversation about lion fish and Finnish scientists.

So what the hell is it?

It’s a disease called Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance Attributed to Electromagnetic Fields (IEI-EMF), more commonly known as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS).

Unfortunately for sufferers of this disease, it doesn’t seem to exist. People who believe themselves to have EHS report a wide range of symptoms that they believe are caused by exposure to radio, Wi-Fi, and other electromagnetic waves. Some even move to remote towns for relief. But studies have shown again and again that a link between electromagnetism and the symptoms is nonexistent (hence the “attributed” in the disease name).

Chuck McGill is the victim of a neuropsychological disorder similar to Morgellons. It’s unclear whether Jimmy McGill believes his brother’s disease is real or not. But Saul does seem to understand that the likelihood of Chuck McGill beating his disease is very slim.

watched both eps. seems okay not blown away nor bored by watching it.

easy watching. hopefully it moves up a notch and isnt just a case of revisiting breaking bad chars every episode.
