Better Performance From Backup Drive?

Hello all!

At the moment I have 2 HDDs in my computer, one has windows and ALL programs on it (160Gb), and the other is a 400Gb drive, purely used to store stuff.

I'm wondering if I'll see any increase in performance, mainly loading times I guess, from moving all the programs and whatnot onto the other drive. Leaving 1 drive with windows on, and 1 with the programs?

Would that be a better setup that how I have it now?

Thanks :)

I would leave it as is.

also that other drive, is not a back up, you should back up you data to CD/DVD's, off line HDD or another computer

Fair point, it was originally used as a backup when I had everything stored on both HDDs, but since running out of room on the 160GB drive I had to delete it.

Everything is also backed up externally aswell.
