Hi guys, I recently dismantled my rig to give it a good clean out, and was wondering if anyone knew the best way to get all the dust off of fan blades without having to dismantle the fans.

I've tried an old toothbrush, hoover, compressed air can, but can't get everything off.

Any suggestions?

Also, watercoolers, how often do you hoover your radiators?

I clean out my rads and fans about once a year

google soft detailing brush and you'll see something that you can get in to nooks and crannies and with a hoover nearby suck up any debris that you dislodge
they are for cleaning out vents on dashboards etc. so pretty similar problem

Thanks Angrybird I'll have a look in to one

I've used pipe cleaners (from arts and craft places or stationary shops) to clean hard to reach fans before now. They're nice and thin, the brushes work well at removing dust, they're easy to bend into shape to get at all angles and they cost hardly anything.

Just use a small paintbrush and make sure it is not a plastic one to incur a static charge or ground yourself to the metal case

Might give this a go as I'm fairly sure I've got some in the house somewhere
