Better Reg after midnight

Lucky you can actually play the game to hit anything, game crashes for me every couple of minutes.

If you have multi-core rendering on in graphic options, turn it off.

On topic:

When I play late at night my latency + ping both go down by 10ms.

Also less people on the server usually means less latency too. I play on UKCS mostly and they have 23 v 23 and 31 v 31 servers. Difference between 10 v 10 and 30 v 30 is night and day.
 
Are you with Virgin media cable?

Because I am and happens with me too, the game is so much better at 1am than at 8pm.
 
i'm on virgin and it happens to me if i play 1am - 4pm i hit everything after that its very hard to hit a thing best way to see if something is going on use net_graph 2 or 3 i forget
and take a screen of it myn goes from a low bar of yellow and blue to a high yellow with large spikes :) I rearly play these sort of games anymore cos of this.
 
The thing is if traffic shaping is being done properly that would make no sense; if anything the connection should get worse for gaming once the traffic shaping is switched off because the UDP gaming packets are no longer getting priority and everything is contended with the people leeching 24/7.

Most likely it is just reduced traffic on the network or potentially a throttle on the connection being released.
