Hi guys, need some help on cable for my NetGear modem, i know the best network cable is the CAT6 RJ45 Ethernet Network Cables, but what about the RJ11 to RJ11 phone to modem cable? does it need better cable too like the CAT6 Ethernet cable? or it won't make any different? any advices will be welcome, thank guys...

I made my own out of single core network cable, not to get a better connection, just for it to be much neater. connection wise, it didn't make an ounce of difference.

I made a short 0.5mtr one using shield cable, like others for neatness, as modem lived next to phone socket, but I saw no other improvement.

The signal comes down up god know how many 100s of metres of cable before it gets to you, the last few feet wont make much difference.

As others have said, if your on an ADSL service the feed for this is at the EXCHANGE and so changing the last few meters to a "TOP GRADE" cable like the high street or PC dealers advertise is really just a waste of your money. It will just go in to there pockets sorry.
