Better than Open Office?

Is there another office suite, other than Microsoft, which is better than Open Office? I ask as my mate is having issues with OO as for ages now he is getting problems with it saving etc etc.

LibreOffice, or even the Office Web Apps which are free if you only need the basics.

We use on our school for creating databases as the acess 2003 lack somes resources
If you just need excel and work download the micrsoft office starter for free

Kingsoft if you want a free Office 2003 clone, Libre if you're fed up with OOO. Both Libre and OOO do have problems with more complex MS Office Docs (think job application forms). They completely mess up the formatting in my experience. Kingsoft does a much better job in that respect.
