Am I better to buy another IceQ 5770 1GB GPU and run two in Xfire or am I wasting my money and it's better to sell off the first 5770 and buy a whole new GPU?

If so, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced peformance/value card?

Cheers

What is the rest of your system?
What is the resolution of your monitor?
What games do you want to play?

Finally, what is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Antec High current 520W
Asus P8Z68-V LE
2TB Samsung SATA HDD
8GB Kingston HyperX
1080x1200 resolution
i5 2500k

And most new releases at least reasonably so Skyrim, Saints 3 Etc. (not BF3 or MW3)

In regards to the last one, African or European?

I don't know, Arghhhhhh!

I wouldn't crossfire the 5770 and thats speaking as a Crossfiring fan.
Basically, you could get any card with your system and it wouldn't bottleneck it, the only weak link would be your psu but it should be ok for most cards (might want to check)
So, it just depends on how much you want to spend.
The 560ti is very popular, soon to be revised.
Also, HD 6950's are a good bang for buck card (can't believe I said that!)

Can't believe I said 'bang for buck'!! The HD6950 is a good card, older ones were unlockable to a 6970 but I don't think new ones will.
I can't find where I saw it, but I read that the 560ti is soon to be updated. Making it quite close to a standard 570 for performance.
Also, if you can wait the next generation of Ati cards should be out soon (maybe before Xmas) and look promising.

well if u wanna stick to amd then a 6870 would be a good upgrade, but if going to nvidia then the 560ti 2gb is the way to go. i also have a 5770 and u can get them for around £80 brand new so if ur on a really tight budget then that could work but i still think upgrading to a newer card would be more beneficial.

I would say get a new single decent card mate with that setup you have, what is your budget ? Also remember you will sell that old card and can add that to the budget.

Well, I could probably blag a few extra quid off my parents for christmas but say.. 100-200 pounds including the cash I'd get from selling this card?

Well lets say if the card you have sells for £50, which is about the going rate for such a card 2nd hand.

you have these cards to look at

Asus ATI Radeon HD 6950 DirectCU II 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £221.99 inc VAT.

MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £227.99 inc VAT .

Or if you can spend a bit more this card would be great too, but depends really on how much you can spend by then.

Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £274.99 inc VAT

Remember all the ASUS DIRECT CUii cards require 3 slots, so make sure you have space on the motherboard and case, but they are great cards very quiet and cool running.

I managed to get a second 5770 for £50 and has added nearly 30 fps to battlefield 3 with high/ultra settings for BF3 @1080p now around 40-60 fps, Metro 2033 totally maxed went from about 20fps to 50fps and I have seen this with most of my other games, been a really nice speed upgrade for £50!

Thanks loads for all your help guys! To me, the long term option seems to be to upgrade but short term, I may consider buying a second hand 5770 and selling it once I have the cash to buy a whole new one.
