So I've been looking at these two GeIL 2GB kits of RAM:

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

But I was wondering how these two fair in overclocking comparison. I heard the Black Dragon kit is some awesome clocking stuff but I see the ULL takes higher voltages. Does BD take lower volts to overclock just as much or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.

You may find this information helpful

Airblazer™ reported in his post the black dragon modules Can only get them to 815mhz and timings to 5-5-5-12.
Apparently the black dragon kits are built for stability not for overclocking.

The ultra low latency GeIL DDR2 can do 900mhz 4-4-4-12 @2.1v. or 1000mhz 4-4-4-12 @2.3v.

1040mhz C4 2.35v have also been reported

personally i'd avoid the Geil Ultra this is due to me getting 1 set and it was DOA, so kind of soured my judgement a bit. However i did have some pc5300 Geil Value and this clocked like the wind 850mhz at 4-4-4-15

Changed over from Corsair 1gb XMS2 5400 DDR2. The Black Gragon Ram is fantastic, apparently overclocks like a beast and is very stable with life time warranty to boot. You can't go wrong, and what's more...ITS CHEAP!

Check link below for an article I found on Toms Hardware, the reviewer highly recommended it:

Specs below taken from Manufacturers website:

Black Dragon - Timings - 4-4-4-12. Voltage - 1.9V-2.4V
