Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro opinions

Hi,
Been reading some good things about these Beyerdynamic headphones, the 80 Ohm model. I’m seriously considering making a purchase of them but am interested in a few more OcUK opinions.

My uses of these will be (in order of how often):
1. Gaming (BF2 etc)
2. Films/TV shows
3. Music (most genres)
4. DJing with Traktor

I know their soundstaging makes them great for gaming and I’ve read a lot about their excellent sound and nice bass. However, I’ve not found much about how they do general PC use, I.e. mp3’s, films and various TV shows (Heroes, Lost, Curb Your Enthusiasm- whatever…).
Before I part with my dollar please can I have some other views/experiences with these headphones.

i've got the 2006 32 Ohm version.
2 words: they rock.
Seriously, even without a head-amp ( but less )

Thanks Lone Bullet. Anyone else got some opinions on the headphones?

Especially interested in general useage for movies and TV, read a lot about it in games and music. Also how many users use an amp or not and how much of a difference it makes.

Not that anybody cares but I read around a load more and decided upon the Audio Technica ATH A900.

Look like the ones for me. Not here yet because they are coming from the states, $179 or £179. Do the 'math' on that
