Yes its back, a short teaser trailer has been posted on gametrailers and personally i cannot wait, the original was one of the greatest games of the last generation in my opinion and was unfortunately overlooked by many, hopefully this one will receive the popularity it deserves.

With it looking like a PS3/360 only title, this is where Nintendo have lost out most from their strategy this gen with not pursuing a more powerful console. I'm sure, considering the Wii's success (with hindsight... does make things easier) they could have produced a console at £250 with more power and it still would have sold similar numbers. I adore my Wii, it's played daily and it has a variety of excellent titles, but it does frustrate me sometimes that they've done so little on the hardware front - or at least developers have. Why else would Ubisoft not bother with this gens best seller if not to do with not being up to par graphically?

Its just about this amazing world, mostly covered in ocean which is under attack by an alien race. The main character, Jade, is a reporter that runs an orphanage along with her friend (who happens to be a pig, don't ask), who's paid for photos she takes in this world of rare wildlife or the aliens themselves, obviously she has a much more significant future laid out ahead of her but she doesn't know this.

Its mostly a zelda style adventure game with a very similar combat system, just with a lot of new and fantastic ideas, the wildlife photography one being my favorite.
 
Beyond good and Evil is one of the games like Okami and Ico that didnt get the hype they deserved at launch and was overlooked. Its a shames as they was some of the best games of the last gen. BGE2 looks like its got a more realistic look to it, im not sure if i prefer it or not, but if it stays close to the original gameplay wise then i'll be happy!
 
Missed the first one so would be interested to try this one...but is it just me or did no-one else understand that trailer?!
 
The trailer looks like it will probably be multi-part, with more to come, like introducing Jade, in the future. /speculation :)

edit: hence '1 - The Pig' so the next trailer could be '2 - something something' or something :p

Only played first one a little.. was pretty cool. Wouldnt go as far as 'classic' as I see a lot of people class it

Yeah I understood, or guessed, that it would be a series of clips but I just didnt understand the meaning of the first trailer apart from there is a pig that has snorted 51 wasps whilst sitting near a broken down car.

Does it mean anything to the people who have played the first game?
 
One of the only games that truly deserved a sequel, I thought the concept would be thrown into the pit of darkness. But if video games ever had moments of redemption - this is one of them.
 
It's great news (and quite surprising as the first one sold about 6 copies). Rumour goes that Peter Jackson was such a big BG&E fan he chose Ancel (it's director) specifically to make his King Kong game.

Just hope this one gets the attention it will hopefully deserve.

You can bet Jade will be the last one if thats the case, I think a few of us here wants to see how hot jade looks now :D

That pig was Peyj, one of the main characters from the original title, the girl sitting on the car under the umbrella was Jade, the main character.
