BF 2142 problems with vista

Hi

Is anyone have this problem that BF 2142 lags like mad on vista on XP it ran sweet

yep have the same here but mine also bluescreens most of the time running in vista

Nope, not at all. Runs smooth as silk.

I have 2gb RAM though, made a massive difference even from 1gb.

i think the bluescreens are caused by the iffy 8800 and X-fi drivers :confused:

Well, I can't comment on the 8800 drivers, but I have an X-Fi and it's fine. Although thinking back it did crash once, when I was playing conquest and the artillery was coming down. The sound crackled and it crashed then. Maybe that's something to do with it?

I have had to go back to Xp Pro due to constant BF2142 issues - BSOD's, memory issues and revert to desktop all the time - Was totally down to the drivers.

Found BF2142 lagging big time on Vista. Especially when on a Titan (<30 FPS). Spec is as follows....

C2D 6600
8800 GTS
2 MB

...decided to rebuild machine as dual boot Vista and Windows XP Pro SP2.

Suspect that the NVidia Drivers are the problems. Tried the official 100.65 and BETA 101.41.

I get blue screens as well. Wish whoever the problem lies with would sort it out, it's just ridiculous that nothing has been done about it.

Vista 64bit, 1900XT-X and X-Fi.

No problems here, except the game sometimes "stops working" when i exit it but thats no biggy.

8800, Xfi and Vista with no probs here either. running the new certifid x-fi drivers and the new beta nvidias.
