i started playing this yesterday and its good fun but i have a few quick questions...
is there any commands i can use to stop the bobbing about as you move?
and what settings are the best to lower to gain most fps? i played yesterday @ 1920x1080 4xaa 4xaf habo off vsync on, and although i hold 120fps most of the time it still comes down into the 90's at times, id like to play at 120fps constant.
ta lads.

Are you joking??

Anything above 60 FPS is perfect. IIRC human eyes cannot notice any difference above 60 FPS. Can you really feel/see the difference when it's at 90 and not 120??

Are you an alien? :p

Or are you just watching FRAPS all the time?

At some points when I am playing it goes to 36FPS and that is fine, for me.

well all id like is so that the fps stays constant, im not too fussed about the eye candy. can the bobbing about be sorted?

You might gain some frames by nudging that CPU OC up to 4GHz, BC2 is very CPU dependant.

Still, I'd be surprised if you can tell between 60 and 120Hz on an LCD, they don't flicker like the old CRTs, and 60 would sync well with the refresh rate. (On CRT's I used to need ~85Hz to feel totally smooth, but I'm older (slower) now.)

i tried with a higher OC yesterday but found it still wasnt holding 120fps enough so i clocked it back down as i get 50/50 sucsess @ POST with 4ghz :(
i have tried with screen at 60hz and yeah there is a difference to me, the IQ seems more solid @ 120hz

EDIT: "(On CRT's I used to need ~85Hz to feel totally smooth, but I'm older (slower) now.) "
yeah i just came from a 19" crt 4 weeks ago to this, if ever i changed my gfx drivers or smth the crt would default to 60hz.. i could tell straight away with the flicker, deffo need 85hz for that

it impossible to keep it constant at a certain fps unless you use some fpsmax command which i dont know in bfbc2.
im still running on a 8800gt and it goes down to 25fps quite often but still playable, you should only worry if its going down to like below 20 which in your case will never do !

im not sure what the hangup is about me wanting stable fps, but anyway im rather more interested about my first question which seems to have gone un noticed :/
how or can i stop the bobbing when moving?

The hangup is that you cannot tell when it is above 60FPS unless you are a robot!!

If you want stable FPS lower your settings until you achieve it.

Staring at the floor in a game might give you 120FPS but being in the middle of a mahoosive firefight with smoke and dust and people will deffo not give you the same 120FPS unless, of course, you would normally be getting 200+ FPS when looking at the floor then you might get 120 when in a fight.

As for the head bob. As far as I'm aware you just have to deal with it. Or google it, I would suggest doing that first before asking here, maybe you would not have had to ask :)
