They do when I play !!!
The Whole team have to use All the boats & spin of everywhere with a big posse heading off the map up top to cap the back flag.
Once you cap the back flag it's Awesome as you fight your way back to the front line meeting the enemy as they fall back. Awesome battles are had but it is a bit chaotic, I like chaos in war though.
 
It does seem to a lot, i've played it around 20 times and probably around 13 times the US have gained a foothold at the back of the map. That means every MEC player runs to defend the top of the map opening the bottom up to attack. Once that happens it's an awesome map to play. When you can't gain a foothold however it is a damn annoying map.
 
Definately agree, funny to see an entire 32 man team go anti tank and spam the anti tank weapon at one boat, but obviously a fault in the map design.
 
Does anyone know anyway of enabling the large 32/64 player maps in single player?

I know there are various programs out that do this for the original maps etc but not sure on the new ones (Armoured Fury and Euro Force maps)?

yeah i do this all the time, the 64 bots make is very jeerrky so 32 is just about right

find your EA battlefield 2 directory, ie

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2

then look for the file called AIDefault, open this with note pad

then paste this into the file, overwriting what is there already

but it might be useful to someone who wants more bots.

I always have the problem of trying to rebind left shift as it says it's in use by helibopper and boat, yet there's nothing in their respective screens.

So I always have to go and edit the control config file and remove those entries.
 
went back online with this for the first time in a few years, was great fun and still looks good even today. But we have been spoiled im driving cars into fences and not breaking them down and trying to shoot people in buildings lol.

this is temptimg me to get bf2 (had it long ago but lost pw/email/everything to do with it, had it before i had decent internet so never really got to play it >.< )


Found "Battlefield 2: The Complete Edition" for £8.82 on the Tefal you have been around long enough to know that competitor hinting is not allowed!!


That got all the expansions etc in it?

everytime i've seen it on sale it has, but nowadays you only need to get bf2 and special forces as the latest patch includes the expansion packs.
 
Don't even need spec forces as somebody can play your account & enable the extra unlocks.
