BF2 Armoured Fury...When?

Any ideas as to when Armoured Fury is coming out?
Some places say 28th April (Today) and IGN says Q2 - but theres no mention of it on EA downloader.
Heard its going to be just after 1.3 - but no date for that either.

Its about EA taking as much money as they can from BF2 players for a half arsed expansion pack which is BF2 with sum new Vehicle skins and sounds (quite literally)

I spent £6 on Euro Forces, and to be honest i should have just gone to the pub and bought a couple of pints instead as its complete and utter crap. I suggest you search for reviews of Euro Forces b4 you waste money on Armoured Fury

Yep, I got special forces which I still play and think its very good, I also got euro forces which I played for a couplke of hours then havent been back to it since...
Ah well....win some u lose some

BF2 is great as it is, im sure people can live without these 'booster packs'. And BF 2142 is out later this year...

It does have some lovely aircraft though including the Lynx! Still it will most likely be rubbish. I found euro forces terribly bland, maps just seemed so dull, the 2 MEC ones felt like a chunk of desert with a few buildings slapped on and a river on one map. The Chinese map was half decent but had a terrible skybox also once one side captures the walls, it's like playing Wake island on US side.

Just hoping that Servers don't only run Armoured Fury maps - but mix them with stock maps.

Armoured fury is meant to have one map where you;re fighting on an american highway, sounds kinda interesting. My biggest gripe with euro forces was that tabara quarry it was the usual bf standard of planes dominating all. Those bloody cluster bombers flying over dumping bombs and taking out 4 or more tanks at a time if they were in close proximity. They want to get rid of planes on tank orientated maps and just have an armour battle for once. :mad:

They got the A10 WartHog (think thats its name) Tank Buster plane so looks like tanks wont be safe from the air lol

The below picture is what interests me most as its a helicopter with what i think i can see as a chain gun fitted just under the soilders seat, fingers crossed its dual chain guns as i've been waitting for one of these babies to be put into the game

im looking forward to some new maps and vehicles.

Euro forces was only £6 (couple of pints), shed load of new weapons and operation smoke screen which is great fun having tank battles that rekindle some of the good times from bf1942.

Ill certainly buy Armoured Forces, i need some new content to keep bf2 from getting stale.

expect patch 1.3 then the addon released.

Thats the main problem with EF, i've never found a server with a good enough ping that mixes the maps up, so you can play vanilla, SF or EF but not all on one nice map rotation

EF gets boring playing the same 3 maps over and over again, but throwing them into the mix with Karkland, wake et al would be great!!

They should release Armoured Fury first and THEN the 1.3 patch.

my money is on EA expecting you to apply the patch after installing AF just because they are that dumb
