BF2 Black Graphics Issue

Starting to get a few of these lately throughout games.

Reinstalled drivers, BF2. Changed various graphics settings.. nothing seems to change how often or erradicate the issue. I'm thinking either my graphics card is on it's way out (trying to replace this one, awaiting a ocuk rma on another one to fund new one) or the system is getting heat related issues (will give it a good blow out at the weekend)

I had something similar to that with an X800XT PE with what I assumed to be overheating video RAM as I had various other glitches and the RAM was way too hot to touch.

I'm thinking heat, due to the warmer weather and therefore hotter room. It is a silent fanless ati x600 that this system has so again i'd imagine it gets affected by heat more than a fan version?..

its the game!! delete and re-install it.

I've only seen that in Sharqi Peninsular when standing on top of the construction site building opposite the flag looking toward the MEC base. The ground around the base of the crane appeared black. For me and at least one other person on the server at the time.

It only happened after Patch 1.22 was applied and its never happened since. I have a 7800GT btw.

I'll try reinstalling it again tomorrow.. it seems to have fixed itself just now

It is the servers end usually.

Happens to me if I am on a server and it is about to need a reboot.

If it hasnt happened for a while, just forget about it.
