BF2 crashing

I have patch 1.5 installed, but i keep getting game freeze/ black screens, sometimes it restarts itself or from task manager if i get bored of the 30+ sec wait for the PC to do anything!.

I have tried at standard CPU clock, the same, have tried 3 different nvidia drivers, the same.

Sometimes the screen ends up like snow from task manager restart and it remains on the desktop even after i close Bf2 down, a restart sorts it all.
Graphix card is not overclocked and passed futuremark vantage yesterday with a good score. It never has any snow prior to a task manager activation.

My system spec and OS is still as per my sig, any ideas? I even turned my AA back down to X4 with no effect, all other video options on max!

BF2 is very weird and fussy..

Have you tried changing your audio settings?

Not for a while (using UD5 onboard audio), but i will give anything a go as its really ****nig me off now!

Try changing the sound settings in game. From software to hardware or whatever the opposite of what it is set to.

sound drivers, gfx drivers, lower settings, lower pc spec, uninstall, reinstall, still not working? reformat (sounds drastic, but if bf2 doesn't work then what is the point of having a pc).

Damn right. 2000 hours and still going on BF2

There have been a lot of people having issues with 1.5 / W7
try THIS !
Cant guarantee it to solve all problems but i keep updating it.

Make sure that the Refresh rate of you chosen resolution matches the refresh rate of your monitor.

Thanks all, I have just modified the document file and will give it a go, I thought i was bad at just under 1000 hours (but i did take over a year off it)

I have been holding off reinstalling as i wait for the illusive bargain priced SSD to hit the market and then also to install my retail win 7. :rolleyes:
