BF2 CTD after new 8800GTS

Hi all

Installed a replacement 8800GTS for my 7600GT last week. All my other games worked fine (Grid, LFS, Track Mania etc...) after the upgrade with the exception of BF2. In multiplayer I double click on a server and it crashes to desktop, in single player the map load progress bar gets to 100% then crashes to desktop.

Tried reapplying Patch 1.41 and then tried updating to the latest nVidia drivers but still the same problem. I'm currently uninstalling the game and going to reinstall.

Anyone else had similar issues?

Update:

Reinstalled BF2 and tried without any patches... the same happened. Tried installing patch 1.41 and the same happened. Running out of ideas now.
 
Sorted: Eventually tracked it down to another piece of software that was running. Tunebite. Looks like new gfx card was a coincidence!
