BF2 DC'ing me!

BF2 keeps disconnecting me. Usually just after loading or during a change of map. My ping is normal and I didn't have any problems on my previous PC (same BF2 account, same firewall, same router)

I'm using ZoneAlarm firewall/AV and a 3com office connect router.

I have limited experience with port forwarding but have been able to set the correct rules to allow other port sensitive programs to connect, so this may or may not be the problem.

Any help appreciated

sry for not helping here but WEEEEEEEEE finally i found someone with the same problem as me :D

i can be playing along fine and then the map changes..... disconnected.

ever play SWAT4? i get the exact same thing, as soon as the map changes i'm out.

multiple rounds on the same map is fine but, map change screws it most of the time (not all).

barton 2800m
x800 xt pe
1gb gail golden dragon
dfi lanparty nf2 ultra b
behind a router

happened if ppl connected to our lan were in or out of the same bf/swat server (or disconnected from the internet).

Had the same probs and it was a dual-core issue, as mentioned in the second post.

Load the game, Alt-Tab out and Ctrl-Alt-Del
Right-click on bf2.exe and select "Set affinity"
Untick either of the boxes and return to the game

Thanks, thats not something I would have thought of so i'll try that if it happens again. :)

Seems strange though....I was convinced that it would be something to do with the internet connection/router
