BF2 disconnections

I have a problem, every single time i play it i get "you have been disconnected from the server" but i dont lose internet so any fixes or anything i can do to stop it?

Is it a known bug?

I play other online games with no problems at all.

Use pbupdate.exe to update your BF2

Already done it, I'm up to date but no fix, was wondering if anyone else get this problem?

If You have been messing with your settings you will need to delete your cache files. Have you done that ?

Ok ill give that a try, where is it located, had a quick look but cant see the cache folder.

My Documents/BF2/mods/BF2/cache
Delete the contents of the cache files & it will reset them.

You have got it patched to 1.41 haven't you ?

Also, disable the in-game VOIP thingy. its well known the cause lots of DCs

i had the exact same problem a few months ago, and a few months before that. tried everything i could think of and in the end i think it was decided that it was the net provider or something along those lines dropping me for a second or something but even then i didn't really beleive it as i had used the net for much more speed hungry things then bf2. its currently jsut one of the things that pop up every now and again and then buggers off

Are you using wireless internet ? that is usually a problem as well

@ malc30, yes I have updated to 1.41.

@ Its possible, I'm with Aol and to be honest find them quite good.

@ Sid, I'm hard wired into my Netgear router. I use to be wireless for many years until wireless internet became very popular and now about 8 people in my are have wireless internet and there for interfeared with my connection reulting in me dropping wireless.

I had a quick blast on BF after clearing the cache, so far so good.

I 'll give it a couple of days to see how i get on.
