Hi People,

Just got back into BF2 the other week and everything was going fine, until!

I installed Bioshock yesterday played for a few hours then my friend turns up and ask's to play BF2, so i thinks why not.

I kicked the game in and find a very odd display issue, it's like the game is in4:3 mode on a widescreen display so i get black bars down each side of the picture and changing the screen res does nothing

I am running Vista 64x on 8800 gts 640 and a LCD DELL 207 if that helps

Any one have this issue and know how to sort it out,

Thanks in advance

did you change the res ingame?

what res does the monitor actually run at? is it a WS monitor if it is you just have to change it in the target location right click the bf2 icon on desktop.

Hi,

Tried changing the res in game nothing happens, monitor at 1680 x 1050 in windows.

Strange thing happened in C&C 3 which i got today, it started with black bars down the side but once i changed the res to widescreen it sorted it's self out but BF2 has not.

As i was typing this i worked it out!

So for anyone else having this issue, in the Nvidia control panel under flat panel scaling change the option to "Nvida scaling" if it's on fix aspect ratio you get the black bars.

All good now,

Nice one

Quick question, when i had my 22inch monitor i set the res of the game to 1650x1080 through putting it at the end of the target, but if i loaded up special forces through BF2 it would go back to the old resolution of 800x600, and if i put the same thing at the end of the SF target it wouldn't load, anyone got any idea how to make SF do the same as normal BF2 in terms of getting it to go at the right res. Just planning ahead for when my new monitor arives so can't test anything as of yet.
