Just get a second hand x1900xt or a new x1950pro. The frames may not be as "decent" as with a 8600GT, but you'll definitely get more of them.

I used so many cards on this Game but here are some i have i used

FX5700 Medium settings
9800 Pro 128MB Medium/Full
9800 XT 256MB Medium/Ful
6800GT 256 Max Setting @ 1024 and Mediam/full 1920
7800GTX Max setting 1920x1200
7900GTX Max setting 1920x1200

not really if i'm honest i did also have 7900GTO @ GTX speeds aswell but now running a 8800GTX, i did see a jump in detail from the 7900GTO to the 8800GTX though but still not happy with it because of rubbish vista drivers

Hi,

My friend has a 7600 (unsure whether GS or GT) and is running BF2 on full settings at 1280x1024 resolution and although he doesn't know the exact frame rate (he doesn't use fraps) he's got no gripes with the card and at says it can't be running at less than 30fps

my laptop with a fx5100 go runs it fine at 800*600 all low - my p4 3.2 with an unlocked 6800 will play at 1280*960 with no AA and max details (medium texture filter) really well, with no noticeable lag around or above 30fps. my mates 7600gt runs basically the same as it!

Buy a Palit 7900GS - they're cheap and they overclock like mad.

Weird,

I seem to have some slow down problems with this card at 1280 with a x800pro.

I only game at 1024 as a result. I've got a dual core and 2gb ram as well.
