BF2 help!

Hi chaps.

I recently bought Win7 and am now having issues booting up BF2.

I have updated PB, running the programme as administrator and am using in compatibility mode for XP SP 3 which it used to run on.

Can load up the game but as soon as I click to join a server I CTD.

Is something blocking it? I use MSE for my AV. Should I reinstall it?

SP plays fine.

I have organised a big game tonight but going to be pretty rubbish if I cannot play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers I will try that.

Have done a bit of googling and apparently might be a problem with the CD key. Some chap had this problem when they got a new GPU.

Am re downloading 1.5 patch (why did I delete it? *facepalm*). Will then put my CD key in again and install the patch.

Ah bugger it.

Went to do a full reinstall only to find my disc is not working AND I have lost the manual and therefore have no CD key. :mad:

Currently downloading it from Steam, so if anyone has had the same problem and has a fix, I do not wish to know.

Well I bought it (again) on Steam but not too bothered as it has given me the best cost per minute of any game and still will even buying it again.

Booted up onto my server fine and with my new rig, settings maxed out with 8 x AA.
