I'm on Vista x64 atm and looking to play BF2 online again. Whenever I insert the disc the screen loads up and i select install. Installshield then runs for a few seconds then completely dissappears :(

Tried running installshield from the disc with admin rights but still doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've had the same once, you could try to clean your disk. Sometimes when your disc is dirty it won't start.

If it doesn't work, go to your CD/DVD-drive, Right Click setup.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Check 'Run this program in compatibilty mode for: -> Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) -> Apply.

Did you turned off UAC btw?

I know its a bit obvious but try this and reboot...

You can manually uninstall the game by removing the files and registry keys associated with it. Be sure to follow these steps exactly as they appear to prevent accidental file/program deletion on your system.

Note: To manually uninstall the Battlefield 2: Euro Force and/or Battlefield 2: Armored Fury booster packs, you must perform a complete uninstall of Battlefield 2 from your system.

To delete the save files:

Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Documents.
Right-click the Battlefield 2 folder and select Delete.
To delete the game files (in the default location):

Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Computer.
Double-click the C: drive.
Double-click the Program Files folder.
Double-click the EA GAMES folder.
Right-click the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Close all open windows.
Right-click the Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
