BF2: Is there a way to play mods but still play on other servers easily?

Hi all

Don't if anyone else gets this but when i have tried to odd mod before it works ok, but then when i try to join some other servers it pops up stating i am using modified content and cannot use that server.

How do i have mods but still get round this problem easily? I want to play the new kubra dam map (i hate the normal one - this is supposed to be better! )

copy and paste the folder 'bf2' found in 'Battlefield 2\mods\', rename the copy to 'bf2modded' and install modded files to that folder.

an example of a shortcut (target) to launch the game with the mod (bf2modded) enabled...
"D:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/bf2modded +ignoreAsserts 1 +restart 1

that'll keep bf2 untouched for online play.
