BF2 Lag? What could it be?

Hi folks,

Playing BF2 recently, been driving say, a tank, and all of a sudden I will end up heading into the river or something, basically a judder of lag!
It's worst when your in a helicopter, and all of a sudden its on its side yet you havent done anything!
Even if ive been driving straight! So whats happening?

Sometimes, its less drastic, and it just judders a bit.

I thought it was my internet connection, but pings are around 13-15ms in game.

Also, my friend also has the same problem, and his computer is same as mine, but he has NTL 10mb instead of ADSL.

It's not server specific, ive tried many servers.


We both have decent routers and signal, could it be the USB dongle? ( I have Netgear 54MBPS usb adaptor) he is using ASUS onboard WIFI adaptor.


Any ideas? :(
 
I've just gone back to it after a couple of months off, and I'm getting the same. Lagging a lot, despite perfect pings and nothing has changed my end. Strange this always ran perfectly before.
 
Yup same here, went back to it after 3 months on WoW and it just lags like hell, I can be running in one direction then in a split second I am running somewhere else.
 
Due you get the same problems when using a wired internet connection? I had the same issues when I ws using wireless even though the pings appeared perfect along with me having a ecellent signal strength...

Went back to a wired connection and the problems disappeared.

Thats the only thing I could think of unless its been fine before and its just BF2 being shoddy as usual.
