Hi guys,
As the title implies, I recently went back into BF2 and since I am clanless,I tend to communicate with random players in my squad. The problem is that they couldnt hear me.
So far the above problem is nothing uncommon and I did quite a bit of research on the issue via Google and the search engine of this forum.Unfortunately,I did not find solution to it because the already stated problems of mics not working have occured for reasons that I am sure that I am fine with e.g. making sure I got latest drivers, that cables are properly plugged, that my mic is on, that its set from control panel, that my in-game sound options on the BF2 VOIP are on etc.
In addition,I use my headset daily for applications such as skype, msn and teamspeak without any trouble.
The only thing I am unable to do is to set the BF2 VOIP from the "BFVoicesetup" file in the main directory(afaik, this is a substitution to the in-game set up of the BF2 VOIP).When I do,it gives me the messages that the program "has stopped working".The latter seems to do with Vista and is universal problem for which I read that there is no fix.
Anyway,Im with Sennheiser headset which is not among the cheap ones. One theory I read about is that the BF2 VOIP does not work with USB headsets. Is this true? Anyone got an idea what I am missing?
ps - I also tried re-instalation.
