BF2 mod: Desert Conflict released!!

Well, after much waiting, the BF2 mod Desert Conflict is about to be released, going live on Friday.

For those not in the know, Dcon is the Desert Combat mod, but for the BF2 engine.

Desert Combat (DC) was the very best mod for BF1942, it was so good that DICE hired most of the team to work on BF2.

What's the point in this mod? The original DC was a mod of a World War 2 game to give it a modern setting. What's the point in giving a modern setting game a modern setting? You're only gunna be adding one or two largely different vehicles!

Its not a modern setting, its set at the time of the first gulf war, some 15 years or so ago.

There are some similarites in vehicles and weapons, but trust me, the mod is a whole lot better than BF2

Desert Sheild
Battle of 73 Easting
Lost Village
Inshallah Valley
Plus a new one - Seige of Mosul

also, they've reworked some of the BF2 maps. These are worth a look, to see how EA could have done it better imo

Mashtuur City (with NO FOG and HUUUGE!!!!)

Im in a toss up between these? Can i have both installed n switch between the two when i want??

its not any better, or any worse, just different.

PRMM i found over complex, but Dcon is built just to have sheer fun!
