BF2 No Longer Loads

Hi,

Someone mentioned a while back that there was a problem with x1900's and BF2. When i changed from my old sli setup to my new x1900 BF2 just would not load. The initial tank screen appears and then it goes black, i get a flicker and then back to windows. i cant find anything else on the net about it. i did a fresh install yesterday to try and fix it and no luck again. it just doesnt make sense why only one game would not work after it worked before . please help. ps. im using version 1.2, and my spec is 2 gig ocz, opty 175, dfi sli dr, sapphire x1900. cheers for any help

I get this now and again. I have to remove the video.con files from my profiles (my documents/battlefield2/profiles) and then it starts up under default graphics settings. I then close BF2 and put the files back in and it then works with usual video settings for some reason.
