Maybe cod2 as it has single player mode also but does bf2?

Will leave it ure hands because i want both but crn't decide :), Both 16pound at local shop so just which 1:)?

Cheers guys

If you want Single Player AND Multiplayer, COD 2.

If you want only Multiplayer, BF2.

Play both demos... find out yourself :p

My Ten cents.

COD2. Amazing Single player game. Truly amazing but far to short but then all good things feel to short.
COD2 multi. Excellent thrash about FPS. Great gameplay weapons maps servers pings.
No anti cheat though  Apparently being sorted in upcoming patch.

BF2 Single player. :p Only good for getting used to the choppers and jets. Completely non existant as a stand alone single player game. In a word a Crap single player game.

BF2 multi. The Ultimate online FPS game bar none. Without doubt the variety of maps classes vehicles and gameplay involvement is second to none.
I have played this game online for over 800 hours and still play it daily. Excellent value for money a superb online game.
Having said that be aware that many people have problems running this game at a good level online even though there hardware exceeds the required specs.
BF2 finds and exploits any mismatched hardware dodgey clocks or inadequate connections and CTD's at the first oppurtunity.

Summary.
I own and play both. I like and enjoy COD2 but i love and live BF2.

Thats the thing younglad it seems higher spec systems have more problems than i have had. Go figure a.
Personally i think it's more down to having a balanced system and not being to optimistic with settings. Also BF2 don't like you messing about with settings and tweaking your system. You need to instal the game patch it choose your settings then defrag then just Leave it alone.
There are plenty of BF2 heads on these boards though that will gladly walk you through the instal and initial gameplay aspects.

Here's my spec anyways seeings you asked.
3200XP Barton + Gigabyte rocket cooler
X800pro@pe + AC fitted
2Gig of Geil
480w Antec
Mitsu 930SB
MX1000
Speedlink Ultra
Pulling just over 6k on 3D Mark 05

And it runs perfect. I have been lucky and my system just seems to love BF2 as much as me. :D

I just ran that 3dmark 05 and i got a score of 8457 so that will run it ok?

My specs:

Corsair 2GB DDR TwinX (2x1GB)
Connect3D ATI radeon X1800 XT 256mb
Artic cooling Freezer 64 pro CPU cooler
AMD athlon 64 3700+
Asus A8R-MVP Crossfire pci-e mobo

BF2 your £16 will last you a year until you get bored.

COD2, well I only got about 1/3 of the way through the single player, and never actually played online.

Another vote for COD2(better SP and MP) here, way better than BF2 and the server browser works properly ;)
