Anyone have BF2 on the 360 and also have it on the PC?How does it compare?
I know they are never going to be the same in terms of online play but how many players can join a Xbox360 server?

Totally different from what I found. Played it for 10 minutes, turned it off. Felt crap. Going to sell it sooner or later.

Do you find this to be the case with all games of this genre compared to PC?eg CSS if this is available for Xbox.

counterstrike the original was available to the xbox (not 360) and i havent played it myself but im gonna say its gotta be crap for any PC user to play CS on a console :(

Damn was looking forward to seeing CSS in full glory! Just got this Xbox so not upto speed on what's what,is there anywhere i can find upcoming games etc?

I agree, BF2 on PC is far better. On the x360 normally about 10 people per server if your lucky.I don't like the maps, I don't like the vehicle and I don't like the weapon's lol :(

Maybe if 360 version had the Wake map I'd try and get into it... :p

PC version is excellent imo and I played this lots before I tried it on the 360. Having tried the 360 demo I deleted it in disgust, initially it seems nowhere near as good as the pc game - the textures are low res, the controls seem inaccurate etc. However, my live friends played it lots so I picked it up and after a while it was great fun, and that's coming from someone who loves online pc fps. Really good game imo, very arcadey and lots of action, but it is a completely different game to the pc version.

Great to have a flipside input.I will try BF2 just so i can say that i did.I to spent far more time on PC BF2 than the Mrs liked :D Im sure it will take some getting used to but i may as well try it.

OT:

Did you know that they can now flash all xbox's regardless of drive.

I really liked the 360 version. Too many nonnies were expecting a direct PC port with all the boring intricacies the PC version had. It's a different game. Smaller more action based maps and I enjoyed it about as much as the PC version. Just don't do what all the PC owners inexplicably do and expect it to be a port of the PC version.

Yes, you will always be able to pirate games on all 360's. All consoles/versions are always eventually hacked.

I'm just looking forward to playing it again.I don't expect it to be as good as the PC version but hope it will be nearly as entertaining.

Could you recommend any other games that you have played in the Shootem genre and have enjoyed.

I wouldn't call it inexplicable to expect a port of a pc game to make it over to the 360 without too many comprimises.

Turned out it wasn't even a port of the pc game in the first place.

BF2 on the PC has more options like commander screen. But when i played BF2 when it first came out i thought it was a hoot. The only problem is you need to make sure you pick your room correctly, if not you get stuck in a loop of 2 maps, backstab and a bridge too far. IIRC you search for a room that has rotating maps or something, or doesn't allow a vote.
Also this game has a full blown single player mode, unlike the 'thing' the PC version has. This one has a full offline game. But where most games are offline with an online tacked on, you know this is an online game with offline tacked on. But still isn't too bad.
But its still one of the best online shooters on the 360.
I can't wait for bad company to come out :D

BF2:MC on the 360 was fantastic game.

It is not the same game that appears on the pc but merely a graphicallyt enhanced PS2/xbox game bearing the same name.

Think of it as a simplified BF2 (with all the good bits left in) running on smaller more action packed maps.

Online is fun although teamkillers can be a major problem.

The one stupid thing about this game is the ranking system for the online mode. Why you have to get a medal to rank up I don't know but its just daft.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warefare, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Halo 2, Call of Duty 3 and Gears of War.
