just got a new monitor today and tried to go on bf2 and i double click the desktop icon i get the first small screen then all goes back and im booted to desktop so i unistalled and reinstalled and still the same problem i have not touched or changed anything apart from my monitor. tried it on my old mon and still no luck updating my drivers now but im not sure if it will help.

its to do with refresh rates, open "video.con" and change to a lower res like 60hz or whatever your desktop is at. change it back once u load the game.
*edit* thought u had monitor drivers installed already, installing them and setting the correct refresh rates should fix it, if not try the above.
