BF2 problem

Reinstalled BF2 last night, after reloading windows and for some reason I was being kicked from game as soon as joining, I think this was because I was running on both cores so I turned one off, then when clicking on the join button to join to go into the game I have started to be kicked back to the desktop, this only seems to happen since the new patch was released, I dont play the game that often and know I was ok before the release of the latest patch.

Anyone got any ideas?

There's nothing that can be done apparently. It happens to me on almost every server I join.

Hopefully EA will pull their finger out and issue a hot fix for this as it's highly annoying.

What i've heard, which seems to work for me, is to wait for it to join the game automatically, i.e. dont click join game, it will join for you after a minute or so if you have auto-ready selected.

After you have done this once for a particular server, you can click join game thereafter manually for that same server and it seems to work.

Strange but seems to work.
