BF2 & Vista: OS Privilages & Mouse Issue

Appreciate some help please.

I Installed Vista some weeks back and thought I'd have a play of BF2 this evening, so installed it and now I have a couple of conflicts/issues.

First of all I get the "Inadequate Operating system Privileges" when I try to log onto a server and get kicked by Punkbuster. Now, the solution to this is to run as Admin but that then causes me another problem...

My Logitech MX1000 mouse assignments do not seem to work when I run BF2 as Admin. Using Logitech Setpoint 4, the latest version, I have a number of keystrokes asigned to my mouse buttons. They all work fine when I load BF2 as normal, but as soon as I try to use it when I load it as Admin they all stop working.

So, any ideas?

You need to re-set them whilst in Admin mode....

Actually solved it another way. I load Setpoint as Admin, and bingo, we have control again. Messed around for an hour with this, then as I finished typing this thread I had the old "I wonder" moment

Vista and BF2 = Useless!!!

SOOOOO Jerky

I can run it full everything, maxed to death in XP, silly resolutions and its faultless. Unplayable in Vista, jerky to hell. Any more pointers ??

..and now sorted the jerkies too!

Seems mouse acceleration in Setpoint is a no no. Untick that, and back to the good old days!
