Bf2 vs BF 2142

so patch 1.4 stopped the game working totally on ya pc ? or it broke winXp ?
what happens when you try to run it ?

** even with all its bugs BF2 is still the best fps to play , an hr or two a night is still good fun on vent with m8s **

Untill some nub shows his Cartillary exploit but overall I like the game with the 1.4 patch. The one patch that time was a total pig, as you had to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall then apply the new modded patch.

I'll take a look at it but I doubt I'll buy it,
I actualy got a refund on BF2 because after contacting support and being told that the reason I couldn't get it to work as a bug with the game (I even recorded the convo just incase) after having gone though ALL their steps they couldn't turn around and say that they wouldn't refund me my outlay. selling faulty goods IS ILLEGAL.
if software is SOLD TO YOU and your system meets their requirements AND STILL DOES NOT WORK THEN THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW AND SHOULD REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY.

I believe ive said this before, im going to w8 for the demo before i say yes or no as the retail game will have ingame ads which the beta didnt show, however i did like the beta :eek: , but it was only 1 map and it doesnt really show what the game can do, ill probrly be w8ing till i can find it cheaper as well, as paying £27 for a game that has ads in it just doesnt seem right.
 
What EA should have done is created a nice big city maps expansion pack for BF2. Another 10 maps or so for £15...that would have been sweet, just like the SF expansion was.
 
Already pre-ordered. Titan mode is awesome! As long as the stability issues of the beta have been fixed (which they should have as it was an old build) BF2142 will be my new home.

Podding is great fun, the weapons actually work, more ranks, more unlocks, different point system, it's all goooooooooooooood! :D
 
I'll do what I always do : wait for the demo and see if I like it, then try to find it on the cheap. I'm right up there on the teeth-gnashing ea-hating front but despite the problems, I DID play BF2 for 250+ hours. I'll see how the demo plays.
