BF2, X-FI, no ultra quality audio ?

As title, got an x-fi xtreme music but it wont let me select ultra high audio quality, this for cards with x-ram then ? if so bit of a con

i had some problems getting the game to let me select ultrahigh.. open up your profiles audio.con (backed up before hand).

and set these as such..
AudioSettings.setProvider "creative"
AudioSettings.setSoundQuality "UltraHigh"
AudioSettings.setEnableEAX 1

that should do it.

Also check that your XFi setting is in gaming mode not entertainment or music creation.

got it workin now, just appears as an option now, so sorted, doesnt sound -that- different but then iv got pap speakers, getting the creative 7.1 speakers soon so should be ace

I've got the same problem, BF2 doesn't want to realise I have a X-Fi and won't let me enable it in the settinfs. I am told a driver update will probobly fix it but I can't be bothered I have played BF2 for all of a few hours since I got it the day it came out.

Try deleting the audio config file
