patching it is a pain in the ***

i bought the complete version with all the modded versions but cannot get most of them to play because of "wrong version errors"

it was the same with half-life generations

Great game... Although it's so full of cheats, TKers, whiners and selfish morons these days, I can't bring myself to play it any longer.

^^ You have to patch each time you instal the next pack

As in BF2-Patch-SF-Patch-EF-Patch-AF-Patch = Don't shoot the messenger.

I play just about every day & have since day one. Great game with a role to play for all.

yup just got back into a month or 2 ago, played it since the demo lol. but at one point there was a load of patches and they ruined it some how imo, but it's back on track.....only problem is that every nade spams loads now :mad:

seems that some people can dive down and 1 hit kill you from prone. where as your shots go everywhere but the target,

I much prefer BF2142 over BF2. Mainly because of the vulnerability of infantry against armor. You've got no portable AA, and the mobile Anti-Tank weapons are awful (half the time they go through the vehicle!!). So i had enough of being hammered by vehicles and found BF2142 much easier when to dealing with vehicles, as it was a lot easier to target their weak points if you have the right weapons...plus there are no bombers!!

me and my mate split time on m keyboard last night playing on 50k, managed to go from like 7pm till gone 11 and only got 1 decent score

still its an immensley fun game on the right server.

Yer if you find a server which has admins that care then its very good. Plus if some one is bugging the hell out of you get revenge by blowing the crap out of them with c4.

My score isnt really the best either but meh if im having fun then thats all i care about.

my score is not very good seen as I've been playing for approx 1 year now, but i always enjoy a game regardless of my score, however i wouldn't mind another few unlocks

yes but i think thats a flaw in the game where you can still be accurate despite being in a dive and roll... surely you would be less accurate for a second until you were straight than someone who was stood planted and already aiming....

your not in a roll its just an animation.

Your more accurate prone and because as soon as you hit the deck your in a better position than the guy standing up. Who is a bigger target also.

hm then its bad animation! i tend to crouch and shoot, but always seem to die before the guy who is jumping about in front of me...
