BF2042 black screen after anti-cheat loads

Hi all,
I turn to thee in desperation as EA are the world’s biggest a$$hats when it comes to supporting their gaming customers.
So i built a new rig (in my sig)
Brand new install of Windows 11 (22H2).
When I launch BF2042 it runs the anti-cheat splash screen then goes to a windowed black screen with “Battlefield 2042” as the title in the top left of the banner. Then either crashes out or does nothing forever until if force quit it from task manager.
It creates a crash dump every time but it’s unreadable.
So many others are having the same issue as reported on EA forums but no fix, or the fix EA offer just doesn’t work for most people.
Some have managed to fix it but using a very different method to the next person that fixes theirs.
I’ve re-downloaded the entire game, repaired the game files multiple times.
I’ve used both the origin app and the EA app. Nothing seems to work.
It was fine the day before on my other rig, which I can no longer test as I ripped the gpu out.
I’ve since downloaded and installed BF1 and BF5 on the EA app and both work fine. As does SW Battlefront2.
It’s just 2042…..the one I play the most….GRRRRRR!

So can anyone offer any advice please.

If it's the issue I had open your one drive folder and delete all the BF2042 folders then try again. It was syncing to my folder and causing the game not to load. Hope this helps.

Well i do have OneDrive backing up all that stuff, but it’s never been an issue before. And indeed not an issue for bf5 which I’m playing right now.
So you’re saying to delete from OneDrive and let it resync or not to sun at all for the 2042 folder?

removing the “Battlefield 2042” folder from the sync in OneDrive fixed it.
