BF2142 Open Beta thread

Currently in a queue myself....

The client has been updated to coincide with this open beta so hopefully it should be a little better than the previous release.

EA-haters...bit your lips if you can manage it..we all know how hateful this company is etc etc.

I was getting totally rubbish framerate at the highest default res with all setting at high but dyamnic light and shadow off, hoever ive added the 1280x1024 and now im getting a better framerate, some how this just seems wrong. :confused:

Just got this email...

"The old beta client will not run with the updated servers so you will need to download this new build. You'll also need to uninstall the old beta client before installing this one.

This new version includes many fixes for stability, functionality and balance as well as performance enhancements"

for all those who have been using the previous client.

I reformatted my machine and couldnt re-install the game

Just get a new key , only takes a min or so. Thats what I did as I wasn't sure if I can use old key.

hopefully I can get some gaming going since i couldn’t even connect to a server without getting disconnection errors! There has to be a bug somewhere it wouldn’t be BF if there wasn’t

The more I play it the more I see my old BF2 agro creeping through, I dont think Ill be buying it beause I know eventually Ill just get annoyed and stop playing anyway.
