BF2142 questions

Since i gave up wow, i m missing some online killing action. I was wondering if BF2142 is a good replacement.

Question is, is this game similar to CS whereby u can just log on and play or do u need a clan/guild to play such co-operative variety?

Oh also is there any UK based or OcUK oriented clan exist on any of these BF servers. just want a place where there is constant supply of meat

i fancy BF2142 cos the weapons and models, same engine so the mechanics and graphics will be similar. just want to wear cool gears and weapons instead of looking like a 40s target dummy ^^
