1) What res you running at and what CPU Ghz?
2) Overclock your chip to at least 2Ghz (Mine is a barton 2500+ @ 2.250 and runs sweetly)
3) I think as default Shadows and HDR are turned on. Try turning that and Anti Aliasing off. Then work up from there.
4) 1.5GB is a good amount of memory, I have worse at only 1GB and still is ok.
5) May be time to defrag your harddisk
6) What other stuff you got running in the background
7) Create another user in "Windows", and use that as a gaming profile. I found that my usual login was crap frankly, and I created another user and it cut out all the stuff from the last year and I half I didn't need, help it not be so jerky. Bit extreme, but Windows has NEVER been good with registry stuff and keeping it tidy.

I have a MUCH worse card than yours (Nvidia 6800LE) and it runs pretty good considering. I think I set it to run at 1024 though
But is playable and I kill a fair amount of peeps. Titan mode, ESPECIALLY inside the titan may or may not be a nightmare depending on the server.
Reinstall your graphics drivers I would recommend.
Yeah all games and especially things that are Necessary to play like punkbuster should be auto update, but EA are not intelligent like that unfortunately. I bet some people stopped playing because they didn't know what to do to sort that
So sorry you will have to hunt for that.
