bf2142 + vista x64

just bought this game installed it try to launch it and it crashes to the desktop.

downloaded all the patches and installed them.

spec of pc in sig.

now got creative xfi gamer

you just need to install the full 1.25 patch..also update your graphics drivers. what OP system...and do you get any error messages? I think eveyone gets that with that game...but the patches did seem to stop it.

i have vista 64 and didnt have any problems.

as above make sure you have all latest drivers

ohh...you are using Vista 64..Ive been through that!

first of all...install the patch that was released just the other day..

I have eventaully just about my 2142 going in Vista without any major issues..I think. But it took a lot of work! I think the patch released the other day did the trick...but I couldnt get it install until I formated and installed Vista again!

Also..what monitor are you using? If it is widescreen..and you havent set the correct reoloution before goin into game...this can cause tis too. It would generally go to a black screen...and just about when its away to kick in..go straight back to desktop>>>>

I had to force the game to start in a resolution suitable for my monitor (22")

try that, theres plenty of info if you google it.

Are these still the Beta drivers, or have they been released now?

EDIT: I've downloaded the hotfix, but left the driver alone, as it is still a Beta. Yet again it stopped working! :rolleyes:

silly relly but have u set conpatability to xp sp2 and run in admin??? mine worked fine once i did that ,unlike bf2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That doesn't work for me!?! If i set mine to run as xp sp2, it can't read the disc. It only crashes every now and again though, so not the end of the world i guess.

you gota use the hotfix with the 163.44 drivers..or it makes no difference I think! Read the page!
