I have 2 pc's capable of running BF3 and iam trying to join off the same router ...

but when ever one of use is connected it either kicks the other one out or are unable to join any server why is this as it was fine with BFBC2?

Not having this issue here with multiple PCs connecting to the same server fine. Have you gave the +clientport parameter a whirl to see if it works?

Worked ok for me, two PC's connected to the same router playing at the same time in the same map.

I do have UPnP disabled on the router. I don't know if this helps, but I had to turn it off because I was continually getting booted from games.

If anyone does find a fix for this, I'd be interested to see. Its really... really. annoying

Well in BC2 to get it working on two PCs I used -port 10001 as a parameter on just one of the PCs (I think the default is 10000), worked fine from then on.

I would imagine that it's the same BF3, I didn't get this issue but give it a try.

I had awful problems with my router and BFBC2 - there was a built in firewall on the router that had to be turned off completely before I could ever see any servers.

You can usually get onto your router settings using http://192.168.1.254/
