BF3 and MW3 upgrade Need advice!

Hi all.
Ive got a spare couple hundred cash from selling off my old pc.

I was wondering where to upgrade my pc.

Its
Phenom 2 x 4 940
Cheap ass mobo Alive xfrie esata 2
4gb ddr2 1066 ram
1gb 6950
psu is 800w
1.5tb hdd
win 7 64 bit

Not sure where to upgrade. monitor is being run at 180 x 720 resolution.

BFBC2 fps at the min are about 55-95 all maxed so unsure how bf3 is going to run
beta ran fine but thats only a guideline the graphics (ive read) were choked back a bit during beta.

Ive just got a eco alc water clooing from coolit and it should allow me to overclock my cpu to at least 3.5 possibly as high as 3.8 ish so thats like a free upgrade there

Any advice most welcome. I have a 12 hr night shift and need something to pass the time. also want it upgraded before release on friday.

I'd think RAM and MOBO, Go with at least a DDR 3 1333mhz or 1600mhz(I'd recommend). get a better mobo.

only problem is my mobo is maxed out with cpu so its then new mobo, new cpu and new ram

Depending on whether your motherboard / psu can take it you will probably see better results from another 6950.
although did you say your monitor is running @ 1280 x 720?

maybe a new monitor then!

Well i was curious about the monitor but its actually our 37 inch tv in our bedroom and it looks stunning even though its at 720p not 1080 or higher. so id like to use it and then get best frame rates i can especially when recording with fraps.

not sure if sandybridge is worth it as it would cost around £250-300 with mobo cpu and ram and i might not see any benefits.

whats a good cheap mobo thats compatible with phenom 2 x4 940 am2 cpu and xfire 6950s?

that would cost around the same and im sure id see much more of a benefit from that. also if the game allows i have 51" 3d tv and might want to try it in 3d sometime.
