hey guys,

Here i am with jet another problem. AFter finally loosing the BSODS on my pc and all the other problems ive had so far. (loosing my OC aswel!!!)
I have yet again come across an annoying error.

It happens when i start bf3 through battlelog. It starts and during the load screen it freezes...i have to ctrl+alt+delete and bring up taskmanager to be able to see why it says : bf3 has stopped responding. I dont knwo what this is but it happend a lot. so i did the following:

- repair bf3 installation through origin.
- Take my gfx card OC away (on stock now)
- update drivers (was on the newest but re-installed it)
- reboot pc
- trying different browers

So all this didnt work in fact it only make things worse as now i get the following error when launching the game:

DirectX function "getdeviceremovedreason" failed with dxGI_error_device_removed GPU: "nvidia geforxe GTX 560TI " Driver:285.62

I have no idea whats going on. I m at my wits end at the moment.
can you guys help ?

Used to have same problem with my Gainward 560 Ti, ended up pushing the voltage up and no more crashes, shouldn't have to really as its not overclocked, but I noticed many people have done the same.

Try reinstalling DirectX in this way first to rule out a bad DirectX install, you have a DirectX error there from what you have shown.

1 install the full DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from here.

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109

2. then install the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from here to make sure all the DirectX files are updated.

Make sure to unclick the microsoft bing rubbish if you don't want that installing ;).

Give that a try first and see how you get on, if you still have a problem shout again with the error you are getting. I also advise using the drivers below for your card.

This.

When you say you removed your overclock is that a custom overclock or a manufacturer one? lots of pre-overclocked cards are being found to be unstable atm.

Have you tried running it at 822Mhz core to see if that helps?

custom overclock.
It seems to have dissapeard now. without any changes.
Same way it started it now dissapeard so will see how it evolves.
If it happens any further that i will try the above steps

thnx Purgatory for ure explanation
