BF3 install on 2nd pc

Im wishing to install BF3 on a second rig i have. Ive got two copies of the game, one on origin on my main rig in sig, and a disk copy. Unfortunately the dvd drive in the second machine is broke. Can i use the files downloaded through origin to install the game on the second machine, as i have them backed up to an external hdd, then use the cd key from the disk copy.

nope, you need origin anyway so download it on 2nd rig and activate using the cd via origin and it will download

Thanks for that, ill leave it for the time being, as it's a pretty large download, (poor connection here). Ill take the dvd drive from my main rig and use it for the install.

You could just copy the files over. I have 1mb adsl at home and 7mb at work.

Does this help ?

Program Files (X86 if on 64 bit)/Origin Games/Battlefield 3 Beta>> Copy this folder to a usb stick or something. Install Origin on other PC, start BF 3 Beta download there, pause after 1 percent, exit Origin. Copy-paste aforementioned Battlefield 3 Beta folder and overwrite files downloaded by Origin. Launch Origin, continue download, Origin will detect newly copied files and prepare them for installation.
